Air Conditioning is not just for keeping the inside of your vehicle cool during the summer, your car’s air conditioning helps to improve the air quality inside your vehicle. Manufacturers recommend carrying out an air conditioning servicing every two years to keep it working at optimum level.

Here's what we include with our Air Conditioning service:

  • A temperature check
  • A refrigerant check
  • An inspection of the air conditioning system’s key components, such as the compressor, condenser, drive belts and hoses.

After the pre-inspection service, we will offer you our full air con service, during which we will work to your vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines to replace and recharge lubricant and refrigerant levels within the system. If we identify any issues with your air con system during the pre-inspection, we will discuss the recommended repairs with you before repairing the fault during the service.

As well as servicing your car or van’s air conditioning, we also offer a powerful anti-bacterial clean to remove 99% of the harmful bacteria which can build up within the system, helping to banish any unpleasant smells which may circulate around your vehicle.

Common Questions

Air Conditioning FAQ

How do I know if my air conditioning needs recharging?
If your air con is blowing air that isn't as cold as it used to be, or isn't cooling at all, it's likely low on refrigerant. It's normal for systems to lose a small amount over time, usually every 2 to 3 years.
Is a recharge the same as a full air con service?
Not quite. A recharge tops up the refrigerant gas, while a full service includes checking for leaks, testing the system, and replacing the cabin filter as well. We'll advise which your car needs when you bring it in.
Can a dirty cabin filter affect air conditioning performance?
Yes. A blocked cabin filter restricts airflow and makes the system work harder, reducing its effectiveness. We check the filter as part of our air con service.
My air con smells musty. Is that related to the refrigerant?
Not directly. Musty smells usually come from bacteria or mould that builds up in the system over time. We can treat the system to eliminate the smell as part of the service.
